I may have missed it since I didn't read everything *euh..* focused (?) but we should mention that between two differents quote, 2 lines have to be jumped/blanked/I-don't-know-ed! I mean, two quotes are separeted by two empty lines. — FrenchFlo (talk)        15:54, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

  • I added it here. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 16:58, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
    • Actually, it's three line breaks (= two blank lines, not three blanks lines) between quotes, and two line breaks (= one blank line, not two blank lines) between lines.—Hardvice (talk) 17:01, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Oh, right, gotcha. Thx. — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:51, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
      • Wait a sec, never mind — I think there's two different issues: One is the space between lines of the same quote (<br><br>), and the other is the space from one quote to the next quote (<br><br><br>). Am I being obtuse or is all that on the page? — RyanGibsonStewart (talk) 17:55, 17 May 2007 (EDT)
        • Yes, it's all in the page. Three breaks results in two blank lines, and two breaks result in one blank line:

This is a quote.<br> <— this is not a blank line
<br> <— this is a blank line
<br> <— this is a blank line
This is another quote.<br> <— this is not a blank line
<br> <— this is a blank line
This one has two lines.

Incidentally, if you actually use <br> tags instead of just hitting enter, the spacing is slightly different and you need one less break than you otherwise would:

This is a two line quote.
It is separated with a single break tag.

This is a two line quote.

It's separated by a double carriage return and has a blank line. If it didn't have a blank line, it would run together, so there's no way to get the above result without a <br> tag.
