- Noah Bennet appears in more graphic novels than any other character.
- The Haitian has the most graphic novel appearances by a non-main character .
- Out of the characters not appearing on the show, Thompson, Jr. is the one with the most appearances.
- Monica Dawson and Tracy Strauss are the only main characters who haven't appeared in any graphic novel. Monica, Tracy, Angela Petrelli and Simone Deveaux are the only main characters who have not been the focus of a graphic novel. Although Niki Sanders has not been the focus of a graphic novel, both Jessica Sanders and Future Niki have.
- Eden McCain is the first character to make a return appearance in a graphic novel, as well as the first non-main character to be the focus of a graphic novel.
- Life Before Eden is the first graphic novel not focusing on a main character, and also the first to not feature any main characters at all.
- Wireless, Part 1 is the first graphic novel to focus on a character previously not seen on the show.
- Walls, Part 2 is the first graphic novel to only feature characters that have appeared in previous graphic novels.
- Maya y Alejandro is the first graphic novel to not feature any characters previously appearing on the show.
- The Last Shangri-La is the first graphic novel to only feature characters still not seen on the show. Subsequent novels that feature characters who never appeareared in episodes include A Lesson in Electricity, Bounty Hunter, and Moonlight Serenade.
- On the Lam is the first graphic novel to feature characters that previously only had appeared in Heroes Evolutions.
