Before working on Heroes, Cook has done special effects for several primetime television shows, including ER, Grey's Anatomy, Tim Kring's Crossing Jordan, Ugly Betty, Everybody Hates Chris, Monk, and Las Vegas. He was nominated for an Emmy with the rest of the visual effects team for his work on Heroes.
