Character History
Fight or Flight
At the Dawsons' home, Micah shows Monica a copy of 9th Wonders!, Issue #10. He points to St. Joan on the cover, and tells Monica that Joan has a power similar to hers: she is a muscle mimic—a copycat.
The Line
When Peter and Caitlin find themselves in Times Square (in the future), the picture of St. Joan from the cover of 9th Wonders!, Issue #10 can be seen on a billboard behind them.
Four Months Ago...
On Micah's 11th birthday, his cake is decorated with the 9th Wonders! cover depicting St. Joan.
Truth and Consequences
When Monica disguises herself in a black hood to break into someone's house and retrieve Micah's comics and D.L.'s medal, Micah claims that she is St. Joan. Later, when hiding from a group of arsonists by bracing herself against a ceiling, Monica is revealed when the St. Joan issue of 9th Wonders! falls from the backpack.
Notes
- Micah identifies St. Joan as having the power of muscle mimicry.
- It is unknown whether Joan exists, or whether she is simply Isaac's creation. It should be noted, however, that most characters from 9th Wonders! exist outside of the comic book as well.
- St. Joan is pictured on the cover of 9th Wonders! wielding a kris dagger and a crossbow.
- A similar kris is seen in the Company's vault in Powerless.
- According to the weekly trivia game at NBC.com, St. Joan is Monica.
